The first cannabis production center is in Córdoba

It is a small place that still does not encourage the large window that shows its illuminated products to pedestrians in the downtown area, as in Canada, the United States and the Netherlands.

In room 18 of the Argenta gallery, on the corner of Chacabuco and San Jerónimo, he opened what is, according to its owner, the first center for the dissemination and production of marijuana oil in the country.

Daniel Landgreen is someone known in the cannabis world of Argentina. He has been running for several years the Cannabis Community of Córdoba, which annually marches through the streets asking for the legalization of self-cultivation and consumption, not only medicinal but also recreational for the plant.

A year and a half ago Landgreen was detained for 40 days in the prison of Bouwer accused of "possession of seeds to produce narcotics", and is waiting to be taken to trial.

Since then, he has been at the head of a legal claim for Argentina to amend the 23,737 narcotics law passed in 1989.

This law punishes those who sow, cultivate or store marijuana seeds with four years in prison, and has been outdated in the face of the new national legal framework: in March, the Argentine Congress approved Law 27,350 that allows legal access to marijuana oil for medicinal, creates a patient registry and leaves open the door for the State to plant marijuana and produce its own derivatives, as is already the case in Chile.

Medicine and recreation

Landgreen has been manufacturing cannabis products for eight years and is one of the many producers who, even without a defined legal framework, supply oil to thousands of patients from approximately 45 different pathologies.

The flamingArgentine law, criticized for incomplete and its limited scope, allows the import of oil for patients with refractory epilepsy and has left in a legal limbo thousands of patients, who suffer from other diseases, and use medical marijuana for palliative purposes.

In his shop, Landgreen sells four varieties of cannabis oil. It is produced with marijuana planted by eight producers from Córdoba who use the indoor mode (indoor), which guarantees continuous supply throughout the year by not depending on environmental variations.

Sells an oil with a high content of CBD (one of the chemical components of the plant, which does not produce hallucinogenic effect) destined for epileptic patients up to 21 years old.

Another oil, called number 77, is sought by patients with neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, and also with arthritis or fibromyalgia. The third oil, number 11, is used by patients with cancer and other terminal illnesses, and the fourth, the most analgesic, is the internationally painkiller, which acts like morphine and is used for chronic acute pain. These last varieties have, in different proportions, THC, the most known cannabinoid component, with a psychoactive effect, highly sought by those who make recreational use of marijuana.
